Welcome to Deiá

Deià, the fairy tale-like village, has had such a magnetic effect on various creative figures over the years, drawing in icons from the worlds of art, fashion, music, film, and literature.
It's where Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote some of his legendary Broadway musicals. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and some of the most notable musicians in history are known to have spent time in Deià, away from the glare of the paparazzi. All meeting at Sa Fonda, a totally informal bar that is known for its late nights and lively music scene.

Much of the Deià’s appeal lies in its laid-back vibe and blissful surroundings, making a stay here highly conducive to the “Dolce far niente” and relaxation amidst the very impressive views of the blue mediterranean sea and stunning Tramontana mountains. Visitors tend to opt for pleasurable eating and drinking experiences, with some enjoyable walks or hikes, and trips to Deià ’s small but very pretty Cala Deia.
At the Cala, it is a must to have a meal at Ca’s Patro March, a rustic seafood restaurant overlooking the sea that has recently been featured at the The Night Manager.

Valldemossa

At 20 minutes drive from Deia, the small village of Valldemossa has somehow managed to keep its distinct essence over time and indeed, upon entering this valley surrounded by thousand-year-old olive trees, holm oaks and almond trees, and getting lost along its steep cobbled streets that are filled with flowerpots, you will be transported back to the past, as numerous enamoured artists have been, throughout history. The winter spent here by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and his wife, French writer George Sand, is very well known and visiting the museum is highly recommended.

Sóller

It is a 20 minutes drive from Deia. The most recommended village to visit while in Mallorca. Sóller square is full of nice cafés and bars. The church and narrow streets are a delightful sight experience. The wooden little tram takes you to the Port of Sóller. The Port has plenty of great sea front restaurants and a sandy beach! The experience of taking the 28km historic railway line - the “Ferrocarril de Soller” will be memorable. Sit in the beautiful vintage carriages decorated in mahogany and brass and enjoy the wonderful scenery during the hour long ride towards the city of Palma.

Palma

The old town of Palma and the Cathedral are simply stunning. There is so much to do that one day will not be enough. Shopping, food experiences, art and culture are notary in every corner.
